À PROPOS DE LA PLANTE
Info Strelitzia
The Strelitzia Nicolai is a real eye-catcher, renowned for its large, bright green leaves. This striking houseplant is a real asset to any room.
Light The Strelitzia thrives in bright spots, preferably near a window. In winter, it prefers a south-facing position. A lack of light stunts the plant’s growth and often makes its leaves look unattractive.
Watering In summer, the Strelitzia needs plenty of water – roughly enough to ensure the potting soil is dry again after a week. In winter, the potting mix can be allowed to dry out a little more. Misting helps keep the leaves dust-free, allowing the plant to absorb light more effectively.
Temperature The ideal temperature is between 16 and 20 degrees, in a bright spot.
Care Torn leaves are normal for this plant. In the wild, this prevents damage caused by the wind. Brown edges are a natural process. You can remove the brown tips or cut the leaf stem 2 cm above the heart. Brown spots are often a sign of overwatering.
